Meet the meteorologist

Hi, I'm Sara.

An MSc meteorologist who believes the sky belongs to everyone — not just the people who can read a forecast model. I started Starlight Weather to change that.

Sara, MSc Meteorologist

Most weather apps hand you a wall of numbers and leave you to guess what they mean. I think you deserve an actual answer — from someone who understands the science and can explain it like a human.

I'm a meteorologist with an MSc in Meteorology, and I've spent years doing the thing I love most: making sense of the atmosphere. Severe storms, quiet seasonal shifts, the patterns most people never notice — the science behind the weather is endlessly fascinating to me, and I've always believed it shouldn't be locked away in jargon.

"Everyone deserves to understand the atmosphere — not just read a temperature and hope for the best."

That belief became Starlight Weather. It's where all my work lives under one sky: professional forecasting and consulting for people making real decisions, trends and variability studies, live appearances, the Cloudy app, and my podcast, Come Rain or Shine. Different formats, one purpose — meteorology made clear, honest, and human.

I also try to do this differently. In science, you don't repeat what's already been done — you bring something original. I carry that into my work: I'd rather build something that genuinely helps you than copy what already exists. And I'll always tell you the honest read — including how much to trust a forecast on any given day, because that's the part the big apps never mention.

Whether you're planning an event you can't reschedule, trying to understand a shifting season, or just someone who looks up at a dramatic sky and wants to know why — I'd love to help you make sense of it.

💬

Plain language, always

No jargon walls. I explain what the weather actually means for you, in words anyone can act on.

🎯

Honest reads

I'll tell you how confident to be — including when a forecast is genuinely uncertain. No false certainty.

Original, not copied

I build things that genuinely help, rather than repeat what already exists. That's a scientist's principle — and mine.
