Refund Policy

Cancellations, withdrawal, and refunds for Starlight Weather services

Last updated: 19.07.2026

Starlight Weather services are custom work made for you — but you are always protected by EU consumer law. Here is how cancellations and refunds work, in plain language.

1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you order as a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of accepting a quote, without giving any reason.

Because most Starlight Weather services are tied to a date (an event forecast is useless after the event), you may be asked when ordering to expressly agree that work starts before the 14 days are up. In that case:

2. How to cancel

Email starlightweather@fastmail.com with a clear statement that you withdraw from the contract. You can use this wording:

"I hereby withdraw from the contract for the following service: [service and date ordered]. Ordered on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Email used for the order: [your email]."

Sending the cancellation before the 14-day deadline is enough — you'll receive a confirmation by email.

3. How refunds are paid

Refunds are made within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you.

4. If something isn't right with a deliverable

A forecast being uncertain is the nature of weather — but a deliverable not matching the agreed scope is a different matter. If what you received doesn't match what was quoted (wrong location, wrong date, missing agreed content), get in touch within [e.g. 14 days] of delivery and it will be corrected or refunded. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected in all cases.
